This privacy policy applies to the Goby AI app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by GET Technologies Limited (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as:
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
Some information is associated with an app-installation or device identifier. It is not all anonymous or aggregated. We use service providers for optional AI answers, subscription validation, security, analytics, crash reporting and advertising attribution as described below.
Goby 1.1 does not require an account. Your dietary profile, saved products, shopping list and conversations are stored on your device. Label photographs are read on the device; the AI flow does not upload those photographs. Barcode and product searches send the requested barcode or search terms to product-catalog services, including Open Food Facts and Open Beauty Facts, to retrieve product information.
If you allow AI sharing, a question or estimate request sends the relevant product details, selected dietary profile, question and recent conversation context to OpenAI through our Cloudflare-hosted service. Your profile can include ingredient avoidances, nutrition goals, activity context, cultural dietary requirements and notes. Extracted label text may be included. These data are used to answer and personalize your request, not for advertising tracking. Your full saved shelf, name and email are not included in these AI requests.
Questions, profiles and conversations are not written to our AI gateway logs. Up to four recent AI answers are cached for ten minutes to recover interrupted requests. OpenAI requests use storage-disabled settings, but OpenAI may retain API content for abuse monitoring under its own policy. This is not a promise that all provider records are immediately deleted. Apple processes payments; we do not receive your payment-card details. RevenueCat processes an installation-based customer identifier and purchase history to validate receipts, restore subscriptions, provide access and measure subscription performance. Apple App Attest verifies the installation. Cloudflare stores verification information, an installation identifier and free-AI usage counts to prevent abuse and enforce access. Verification and usage records remain for those purposes.
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collect app interactions, installation/device identifiers and diagnostic information such as crashes, app/OS versions and performance-related session information. AppsFlyer measures advertising attribution and app events, including subscription events. These services may infer approximate location from an IP address. Advertising identifiers are subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission. Dietary selections and chat text are not sent to advertising analytics by Goby's active app flows. Analytics and purchase records are subject to the relevant provider's retention practices and our privacy-request process.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
You can decline AI sharing or disable it in Goby Settings to stop future AI requests. Clear saved conversations from their menu. Manage tracking permission in iOS Settings and subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Uninstalling stops future collection by the app; it does not cancel an Apple subscription or automatically erase provider records already processed. Contact us for data or deletion requests. Security, fraud-prevention or legally required records may need to be retained.
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at mack@gobyai.app and they will respond in a reasonable time.
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (mack@gobyai.app) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
